Shanghai, August 4 (Gasgoo.com) With the sales of its Infiniti cars growing in China, Nissan (China) is set to introduce more new models to the Chinese market. The Infiniti EX35, a small SUV which was displayed at the 2008 Beijing auto show in April, will go on sale in China in September, said Nissan China to China Business News yesterday.

The Infiniti EX35 was unveiled at 2007 New York Motor Show as a concept car and now has been made available in many global markets. When it is put on sale in China next month, the Infiniti EX35 SUV is expected to be priced at 500,000 yuan ($73,000) or so to rival BMW X3, Land Rover Freelander 2 and Lexus RX 350.

Nissan China said this Infiniti EX35 model for China sale mixes SUV and Crossover elements to meet the growing market demands for premium Crossover cars. Apart from the Infiniti EX35 model soon to be sold in China, two other premium Crossover models -- Audi Q5 and Mercedes-Benz GLK -- will be introduced to China for production and sale early next year.

In July 2007, Infiniti FX45, FX35 and G35 cars were first introduced to the China market, followed by the Infiniti M35 luxury sport sedan in December. Their sales reached 1,550 units in 2007 and nearly 3,000 units in the first half of this year. And the new-comer Infiniti EX35 is likely to boost the Infiniti lineup sales further in China.

The Infiniti brand got off to a good start in China by selling up to 4,500 units in one year after it hit the Chinese market. Based on this remarkable sales result, Nissan (China) is set to introduce more new models and expand the sales network. There are 13 Infiniti dealerships in China by June.
