BYD renames Yuan EV to Yuan Pro
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- BYD changed the name of the Yuan EV to the Yuan Pro, the automaker announced on March 17 via its Weibo account. The refreshed model with the new name will hit the market on March 21.

According to the photos unveiled by BYD, the Yuan Pro's front adopts the all-new “EV Dragon Face” design language, which is also used in the BYD Han. At the close-off grille, a chrome-plated slat runs across the front to link the headlights to each other.

As for the cockpit, the Yuan Pro will be equipped with a 10.1-inch adaptive rotating display powered by the DiLink 3.0 smart network system, which is available for functions like voice recognition, Bluetooth hands-free calls and voice reminder.
Positioned as a small-sized SUV, the new EV measures 4,375mm long, 1,785mm wide and 1,680mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,535mm, according to China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Driving the vehicle will be an electric motor that churns out a maximum output of 100kW and 210 N·m in peak torque. The Yuan Pro is expected to carry BYD's “Blade Battery” that enables a range of up to 401km under the NEDC test cycle.
