XPeng delivers 10,412 vehicles in September
Beijing (Gasgoo)- Monthly deliveries of China’s electric vehicle startup XPeng Inc. nearly tripled from a year ago to over 10,000 vehicles in September and said it was the first to reach 10,000-unit monthly delivery milestone among China's new energy vehicle startups.
Last month, XPeng delivered a total of 10,412 new vehicles, a new high, representing a year-on-year surge of 199% and a month-on-month jump of 44%. For the third quarter of this year, XPeng’s quarterly deliveries recorded the best-ever results with a total of 25,666 vehicles delivered, much more than the high end of its outlook (between 21,500 and 22,500).
In September, NIO and Li Auto, which are classified as the first-tier electric vehicle startups in China with XPeng, has cut their delivery outlook for the third quarter, but XPeng didn’t.
Monthly deliveries of the P7 also achieved a new record ever since it hit the market, to 7,512 vehicles in September. On September 23, XPeng said it delivered 50,000 P7s in 15 months, shattering the record of Chinese startups’ single model delivery speed.
