In 2021, Great Wall Motor has been actively constructing a low-carbon-emission industrial chain across the world. From vehicle R&D, relating supply chains, manufacturing, logistics and transportation, sales, to recycling, Great Wall Motor has been pushing to minimize carbon emissions through and through.
In order to ensure a 100% hazardous wastes disposal compliance rate, Great Wall Motor upgraded its sewage and waste gas treatment facilities and improved its corresponding emission reduction technologies. By doing so, the automaker successfully recycled millions of tons of water. Additionally, Great Wall Motor has installed a 263MW solar power photovoltaic station, generating 71.21 million kilowatts of electricity in 2021.
Great Wall Motor believed that the way to carbon neutrality is to lower the emission during manufacturing and use more renewable energy sources. Hence, the company set a target to build its first zero-emission manufacturing plant in 2023, launching over 50 new energy vehicle models to the market by 2025. Moreover, the company will carry on constructing photovoltaic stations.
