Chinese luxury EV brand HiPhi sells 1,364 vehicles in Q1 2022
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Human Horizons, the Chinese startup owning the luxury EV brand HiPhi, announced Tuesday that the monthly sales of the HiPhi X, the brand's only production model for sales, reached 459 units in March 2022 with an average transaction price of nearly 700,000 yuan ($110,060) per car.

Among the luxury all-electric vehicle models priced over 500,000 yuan ($78,620) in China, the HiPhi X had been honored the champion by monthly sales for the fourth month in a row as of March 2022, said the automaker, citing the insurance registrations from the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission.
With 1,364 vehicles sold, the HiPhi X accounted for up to 28% of the total sales of luxury all-electric vehicles priced over 500,000 yuan in the first quarter, ranking highest in this segment in China as well.
In March, the 2022 HiPhi X long-range version hit the market. Coming with two trim levels, the facelift version is priced between 570,000 yuan ($89,620) and 620,000 yuan ($97,480). The new HiPhiX features a range of 650km, rising from the 550km for the old version.
With the advent of the new version, the price range of the HiPhi X has been widened to 570,000 yuan-800,000 yuan ($125,790).
The automaker launched its second production model, the HiPhi Z, last year and plans to start delivery in 2022. The model will vie with the likes of the NIO ES7 and the Mercedes-Benz EQE.
