Li Auto boasts 165.9% YoY surge in May 2022 deliveries

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese NEV startup Li Auto announced today the monthly deliveries of the Li ONE, its only production model, stood at 11,496 units in May 2022, soaring 165.9% compared to the same span in 2021.

By the end of May 2022, the startup had cumulatively delivered 171,467 Li ONEs, 47,379 of which were delivered this year.

As for the expansion of Li Auto’s sales and service network, as of May 31, 2022, the company had deployed 233 retail stores in 108 cities, as well as 253 servicing centers and Li Auto-authorized body and paint shops in 214 cities.

“At present, we are actively collaborating with our supply chain partners to restore production capacity, aiming to shorten the delivery waiting time for Li ONE users,” said Yanan Shen, co-founder and president of Li Auto.

Li Auto inked an agreement in late May to build a power semiconductor R&D and manufacturing base in Suzhou Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone, Jiangsu province.

Under the new project, the plant construction is scheduled to commence in mid-June 2022 and be completed this year, according to the company's press release. The trial production of prototypes is expected to begin in May 2023 at the plant, and formal production will start in 2024.
