Li Auto breaks ground on 2nd phase of Beijing industrial park
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On June 14, Li Auto broke ground on the second phase of its industrial park in Shunyi district, Beijing, which is anticipated to start operation at the end of 2023, according to a local media channel.
The new facility is located in Zhongguancun Shunyi Garden, where Li Auto is headquartered. It covers an area of 58,600 square meters with a total investment of around 1.3 billion yuan ($193.392 million). It will be built into an industrial park that integrates functions of administration and technology R&D.

As publicly disclosed, the startup's headquarters started operation in November 2020.
In October 2021, Li Auto began the construction of its green and intelligent manufacturing base in Beijing. With over 6 billion yuan ($892.578 million) to be invested in total, the Beijing plant is scheduled to go into operation in September 2023 with an annual production capacity of 100,000 all-electric vehicles for its first phase.
Li Auto said in early June that the monthly deliveries of the Li ONE, its only production model, stood at 11,496 units in May 2022, soaring 165.9% compared to the same span in 2021.
By the end of May 2022, the startup had cumulatively delivered 171,467 Li ONEs, 47,379 of which were delivered this year.
The startup will launch its second mass-produced model, the L9, on June 21.
