Car and City: Hangzhou registers most ZEEKR 001s in May 2022

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- In May, the monthly registrations of the ZEEKR 001, the first and only production model under Geely Auto's premium car brand ZEEKR, hit a new high of 4,320 units, surging 100.6% over the previous month, according to the data compiled by Gasgoo Auto Research Institute.

By the end of May 2022, there had been 20,332 ZEEKR 001s registered across China cumulatively, 14,766 units were registered in the first five months of this year.

In May, retail and fleet registrations of the ZEEKR 001 reached 3,686 and 634 units, respectively.

In May 2022, there were five cities whose monthly registrations of the ZEEKR 001 all exceeded 200 units, of which Hangzhou, Chengdu, and Shenzhen stood at the top three places. Ningbo, where ZEEKR's intelligent factory is located, ranked 15th with 95 units registered.

Aside from Shenzhen, the two first-tier cities—Guangzhou and Beijing—cracked the top 10 city rankings as well, while Shanghai failed to enter the top 15.

Regarding the registrations for the first five months, Hangzhou ranked highest among Chinese cities as the only one with over 1,000 ZEEKR 001s registered. Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing all entered the top 10 city ranking.

Among the top 15 cities by Jan.-May ZEEKR 001 registrations, there were 6 provincial capitals, namely, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Changsha, and Nanjing.
