SVOLT, Ganfeng Lithium to team up on lithium salt supply, industrial park construction

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- SVOLT, the Chinese power battery supplier carved out of Great Wall Motor, and the leading battery-grade lithium producer Ganfeng Lithium signed a framework agreement on June 29 to conduct in-depth cooperation on lithium resource development, lithium salt supply, battery recycling, and industrial park construction.

On the same day, SVOLT inked another framework agreement with Shangrao municipal government to build an industrial park themed the full industrial chain of lithium batteries. The construction works will be led by SVOLT and assisted by other companies including Gangfeng Lithium.

The Shangrao-based industrial park will be built to encompass the players throughout the full chain of lithium battery industry that covers sectors like mineral resources, lithium battery manufacturing, and energy storage, said SVOLT. Besides, a source-grid-load-storage project will be built to provide the industrial park with sustainable energy and help enterprises overcome power supply constraints by regulating peak load and power frequency.

SVOLT earlier this month penned an agreement with Dazhou municipal government and the Management Committee of Dazhou High-tech Industry Development Zone to build a zero-carbon industrial park for the industrial chain of lithium ion batteries. The Dazhou-based park will contain production lines for lithium iron phosphate and cobalt-free cathode materials, lithium iron phosphate precursors, electrolyte, as well as battery disassembly lines, and other supporting facilities.
