Tesla deploys over 1,200 supercharging stations by June 2022 on Chinese mainland
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Tesla has deployed over 1,200 supercharging stations, 8,700 Superchargers, 700 destination charging stations, and 1,800 destination charging piles on the Chinese mainland by the end of June 2022, covering more than 370 cities and regions, Tesla’s China charging team announced on July 3 via its Twitter-like Weibo account.
According to the data Tesla gave in January this year, the U.S.-based EV manufacturer had deployed over 1,000 supercharging stations and more than 8,000 Superchargers across the Chinese mainland by the end of December 2021. This indicates that there were around 200 supercharging stations and 700 Superchargers newly launched in the first half of 2022.

The aforementioned destination charging stations are mainly located in hotels, resorts, dining halls, shopping malls, and office buildings, the company said.
Tesla announced on June 10 its 35,000th Supercharger point was deployed in Wuhan, the capital of China's Hubei province.
The automaker said its Superchargers support a peak charging rate of up to 250kW per car, and can add almost 250km of driving range to an electric car in only 15 minutes. The plug-and-play charging facility can be connected to smartphones, allowing users to check the availability of Superchargers and monitor the charging status in real time through a mobile App.
