Huawei, SERES-backed AITO sees monthly deliveries exceed 10,000 units for first time
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- AITO, the new energy vehicle brand backed by SERES and Huawei, delivered 10,045 new vehicles in August 2022, representing a 38.97% jump compared to the previous month, according to data from the automaker's WeChat account.
The carmaker stressed that this was the first time for AITO to see its monthly deliveries surpass 10,000 units. The rising sales resulted from its two parents' vigorous efforts to guarantee smooth vehicle sale, production, and delivery when facing such challenges as chip shortage, coronavirus resurgence, scorching heat, and power rationing.

AITO delivered its first M7 REEVs on August 24th in Chongqing and Shenzhen, only 51 days after the model hit the market, refreshing the 72-day record made by the AITO M5, the brand's first production model.
At the M7 delivery event, AITO revealed that the brand had opened over 700 user and experience centers in 171 cities by August 2022, and expected to increase the number to more than 1,200 centers by the end of the year.
Moreover, at the upcoming Huawei new product launch event scheduled on September 6th, the ICT giant will launch the battery-electric version of the AITO M5.
