NIO’s monthly deliveries shoot up 81.6% YoY in Aug. 2022

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- NIO today announced its vehicle deliveries reached 10,677 units in August 2022, surging 81.6% year on year, while also climbing 6.2% month on month.

The latest monthly deliveries consisted of 7,551 SUVs and 3,126 sedans, according to the company's data.

NIO started delivering the ES7, a mid-large five-seater all-electric SUV based on NIO Technology 2.0 (NT2), on August 28. According to the fresh sales data, there were 398 ES7s delivered last month.

For the first eight months of this year, NIO delivered a total of 71,556 vehicles, representing a growth of 28.3% from the year-ago period.

By the end of August 2022, NIO's cumulative vehicle deliveries have added up to 238,626 units.

The first batch of the NIO ET5's pre-production vehicles rolled off the assembly line at NIO's second advanced manufacturing center in late August. Delivery of the model is expected to begin on September 30.

Moreover, NIO newly launched 8 NIO Houses, 5 NIO Spaces, 5 NIO service centers, 5 authorized service centers, as well as 3 delivery centers last month.

The company also deployed 44 battery swap stations, 43 supercharging stations, and 42 destination charging stations in August.
