Car and City: ZEEKR 001 Sept. 2022 registrations dip 10.05% MoM

In Sept. 2022, the monthly registrations of the ZEEKR 001, the first production model under Geely Auto's premium car brand ZEEKR, reached 8,029 units, sliding 10.05% over the previous month, according to the data compiled by Gasgoo Auto Research Institute ("GARI").

Retail and fleet registrations of the ZEEKR 001 stood at 7,209 and 820 units last month, respectively.

Among the ZEEKR 001s registered last month, 5,992 and 2,037 units featured a guidance price of 299,000 yuan ($41,360) and 386,000 yuan ($53,390), respectively.

By the end of Sept. 2022, there had been 45,122 ZEEKR 001s registered across the Chinese mainland cumulatively, 39,556 units were registered in the first nine months of this year.

In Sept. 2022, Hangzhou still topped other cities in China with 1,192 ZEEKR 001s registered, which more than doubled that of the runner-up Shanghai. Guangzhou was the other city with over 400 ZEEKR 001s registered. Both Wenzhou and Shenzhen recorded a registration volume of 382 units, only 1 unit fewer than that of Nanjing.

Regarding the ZEEKR 001 registrations for the first three quarters, Hangzhou still outshone others and was the only city with over 4,000 units registered. Shanghai was honored the runner-up city with over 3,000 ZEEKR 001s registered through the Jan.-Sept. period. Among the top 15 cities, the No.3-No.14 cities all recorded a ZEEKR 001 registration volume between 1,000 units and 2,000 units.
