NIO’s Oct. 2022 vehicle deliveries surge 174.3% YoY

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- NIO today announced its vehicle deliveries reached 10,059 units in October 2022, surging 174.3% year on year, while dipping 7.5% month on month.

The Oct. monthly deliveries consisted of 5,979 SUVs and 4,080 sedans, according to the company's data.

The EV startup noted the monthly deliveries of the ES7, the ET7, and the ET5 came in at 2,814 units, 3,050 units, and 1,030 units, respectively, in October.

For the first ten months of 2022, NIO saw its deliveries leap 32% from the previous year to 92,493 units, resulting in a cumulative vehicle volume of 259,563 units as of Oct. 31, 2022.

In October, NIO unveiled ET7, EL7 and ET5 for the European markets at the NIO Berlin 2022. These products are gradually made available for order in Norway, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden through NIO Subscription, leasing programs, and direct sales to users.

It is worth mentioning that the delivery volume shown in NIO's latest monthly sales results represents vehicle deliveries through direct sales to users and to the leasing program partner in Europe in accordance with the revenue recognition policy of its vehicle sales. Nevertheless, the vehicles under NIO Subscription in Europe are recognized as assets on the company's balance sheet, but are not counted towards the announced delivery volume.

On Oct. 25, NIO signed an agreement to launch its international business headquarters in Jiangqiao town, Jiading district, Shanghai city. The new facility will operate as the foothold for NIO's international businesses like automobile export.
