SVOLT breaks ground on lithium battery zero-carbon industrial park in Dazhou city

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On Nov. 7, SVOLT, a Chinese power battery maker carved out of Great Wall Motor ("GWM"), celebrated the ground-breaking for its lithium battery zero-carbon industrial park at Dazhou city, Sichuan province, indicating a further advancement for its industrial chain deployment in Southwest China.

Located in Dazhou High-tech Industrial Park, the new facility is designed to use over 2,000 mu (1.333 million square meters) of industrial lands.

According to SVOLT's press release, the company plans to build there such facilities as the lines for disassembling recycled batteries, assembling power battery packs, and producing lithium iron phosphate and cobalt-free cathode materials, and lithium iron phosphate precursors and electrolytes, as well as relevant supporting projects. 

The company said the industrial park features sufficient supply of water, electricity, gas, phosphoric acid, ammonium hydroxide, and lithium minerals with high quality and favorable prices, in a bid to ensure a smooth operation and production.

Moreover, two special funds have been set up to inject capital into the companies settling in the industrial park.

The Dazhou-based industrial park is of great strategic significance to SVOLT’s development. The company said its intelligent energy storage business arm and the wholly-owned subsidiary Dr. Octopus will team up with SVOLT CAPITAL and other industrial chain participants to innovate in the business model that integrates such elements as industrial chain, funds, zero-carbon, and intelligent manufacturing. SVOLT aims to build the Dazhou-based facility into a zero-carbon industrial park and intelligent manufacturing lighthouse factory by gathering high-tech companies and high-quality talents, and using cutting-edge production equipment.
