Tesla so far deploys over 1,300 supercharging stations on Chinese mainland by Oct. 2022
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- In Oct. 2022, Tesla newly deployed its charging facilities in 31 cities (or counties) on the Chinese mainland, including 43 supercharging stations, 174 Superchargers, 10 destination charging stations, and 28 destination charging piles, according to a post on the U.S. EV maker's WeChat account.
By the end of Oct. 2022, Tesla's charging network on the Chinese mainland has been composed of 1,300+ supercharging stations, 9,500 Superchargers, 700+ destination charging stations, as well as 1,900+ destination charging piles.

Tesla China released the list of the 26 cities where its new charging stations will be launched this month, including Beijing, Xi'an, Tangshan, Dalian, Weifang, Songyuan, Jiyuan, Wuxi, Nanjing, Taizhou (Jiangsu province), Wuhan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Huizhou, Chongqing, Guiyang, Liuzhou, Nanning, Ningbo, Hangzhou, Dongguan, Taizhou (Zhejiang province), Jinhua, Wenzhou, Nanchang, and Changsha.
Tesla announced last week it decided to open the EV connector design to the world, naming it the North American Charging Standard (NACS), so that other companies would be able to adopt it.
"In pursuit of our mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy, today we are opening our EV connector design to the world. We invite charging network operators and vehicle manufacturers to put the Tesla charging connector and charge port, now called the North American Charging Standard (NACS), on their equipment and vehicles," said the EV manufacturer.
