Great Wall Motor launches NEV-dedicated brand ‘GWM’ in Brazil

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese biggest SUV manufacturer, Great Wall Motor, held a ceremony in Brazil on Nov. 23 local time to launch the brand "GWM" in this country, indicating a milestone in the company's global promotion of its new energy vehicles (NEVs).

Positioned as a burgeoning "clean and intelligent" automobile brand, GWM in Brazil is expected to reshape the relation between human and vehicles, and offer futuristic technologies to local consumers through innovations in both products and marketing models. The brand tagline "Hello Tomorrow" conveys the brand philosophy of bringing “future experience” to consumers.

At the launch ceremony, the Haval H6 PHEV made its overseas debut since the release of Haval's new logo in late August this year. The model is also the first Haval-branded all-wheel-drive (AWD) PHEV model.

Great Wall Motor said the Haval H6 PHEV AWD is designed with Brazil's local road conditions, users’ behaviors, and current charging network deployment in mind, featuring a range of up to 170km on battery power alone.

In the initial stage, Great Wall Motor will team up with 28 leading dealership groups in Brazil to open 50 GWM sales and service centers (named House of Tomorrow), which will offer multiple online and offline services like one-stop car purchase, door-to-door test drive, and car rental under subscription. Besides, Great Wall Motor will work on further facilitating users' car shopping through diversified sales outlets, such as shopping mall-based stores and pop-up shops.

The Haval H6 PHEV will hit the Brazilian market in early 2023. By the second half of 2024, GWM brand will see up to 133 authorized sales and service centers launched in 112 cities of Brazil.
