Beijing aims to have 74 hydrogen refueling stations under operation by 2025
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Beijing, the capital of China, is ambitious to have 74 operational hydrogen-refueling stations by 2025, 37 stations of which are expected to be built by 2023, according to a document released by Beijing Municipal Government earlier this week.
The document illustrates a five-year (2021-2025) planning Beijing set for the development of its hydrogen-refueling stations for fuel cell vehicles (FCV).

Up until now, there have been 11 hydrogen filling stations deployed in Beijing, 10 of which have been put into operation.
Per the planning, Beijing aims to promote over 10,000 FCVs by 2025, 3,000 units of which are expected to be deployed by 2023.
As of August this year, Beijing has put 1,528 FCVs into applications, including 845 mid-/large-sized buses, 272 regular logistics vehicles, 203 cold-chain logistics vehicles, 202 heavy-duty trucks, 5 sanitation vehicles, as 1 private-use passenger vehicle.
Beijing also eyes a total hydrogen refueling capacity of over 148 tonnes per day by 2025, 126 tonnes of which will be used for FCVs. As of 2023, the city wishes to have the capability of supplying over 74 tonnes of hydrogen per day, 47 tonnes of which are planned to meet FCVs' demands.
