Tesla releases sales promotion in China for up to 6,000 yuan off

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On December 7, Tesla newly orchestrated another time-limited sales promotion for Chinese consumers with an additional 6,000 yuan off their final purchase, according to the automaker’s sales channel.

From December 7 to December 31, 2022, an additional 6,000 yuan in cash will be waived for customers who purchase eligible in-stock Tesla vehicles. However, the discount is not directly promoted by Tesla’s official channel. Instead, consumers who wish to take part in the promotion need to contact their local Tesla sales staff and place a deposit to join. Moreover, the promotion is only limited to in-stock vehicles.

Notably, Tesla has been actively rolling out multiple sales promotions to boost their year-end sales performance and give full play to China’s national new energy vehicle subsidy, which is set to expire by December 31 this year. 

At the end of October this year, Tesla started the first price cut after six consecutive price lifts in China. The price of the entire Model 3 and Model Y lineups were reduced by 14,000 yuan-37,000 yuan. The promotion effect came out prominent. In November, Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory delivered 100,291 vehicles, setting a record in the factory’s history. Compared to the previous month, the delivery volume in November also jumped 40%.
