CATL, Bosch ink MoU for cooperation on global NEV aftermarket

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- CATL and Bosch signed an MoU (memorandum of understanding) on Dec. 15 to carry out a strategic cooperation on exploring the global new energy vehicle (NEV) aftermarket.  

Under the MoU, the two companies will leverage their respective technical strengths and advantages to further explore cooperation models, in a bid to co-build a sustainable after-sale market ecosystem.

Thanks to the extensive cutting-edge deployment in power battery after-sale field, CATL has set up over 500 service spots and more than 20 regional warehouses worldwide. It has also built an industry-leading training system, and led and joined the formulation of around 20 industrial standards on the NEV battery aftermarket, said the battery maker.

Possessing one of the world's leading independent automotive service networks, Bosch offers one-stop after-sale solution that encompasses sale of auto parts, as well as automobile diagnosis and maintenance services around the globe.

CATL is strengthening its presence in quite a few domains. In early December, the battery supplier formed a new cooperation with Honda Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd. to provide the latter with a total of 123GWh power batteries for battery electric vehicles (BEVs) between 2024 and 2030.

Aside from battery supply, CATL launched its EVOGO battery swapping service in Guiyang city, Guizhou province earlier this month.

On Dec. 14 this year, CATL inked an agreement with Huawei Device Co., Ltd. to conduct collaboration on the Huawei Smart Selection vehicle project, and also struck a deal with Chery Holding to form an all-round strategic cooperation.
