The milestone signifies that Tesla has become one of the few new energy vehicle brands in China to hold a high-power DC charging network of over 10,000 piles, further contributing to the country’s goal in carbon peak and neutrality.

Tesla has built a complete charging network spanning north, south, east, and west on the Chinese Mainland. Up to now, Tesla’s charging network has realized full coverage over all provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions in Chinese Mainland. The automaker holds extensive crisscrossing charging networks in more than 320 prefecture-level cities. The US EV maker has built a "15-minute life circle", where Tesla users’ vehicle replenishment needs can be met in a 15-mintue drive radius, in many cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen. Tesla claimed that its “15-minute life circle” made charging more convenient than gasoline refueling.

Aside from expanding its charging reach, Tesla also worked hard on improving its charging technology efficiency-wise. The power of Tesla's third-generation super charging pile reaches 250kW. For example, a Model 3 can have about 120 kilometers of range added after a 5-minute charging session. For some models, charging for 15 minutes will give the vehicle about 250 kilometers of range, which is enough for a week-long commute.
