Geely-backed LIVAN Automobile scores 54% MoM surge in Dec. 2022 sales

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- LIVAN Automobile, the joint venture between Geely Automobile and Lifan Technology, announced on Tuesday its monthly sales reached 11,323 units in Dec. 2022, surging 54% month on month and surpassing the 10,000-unit mark for the first time.

For the year of 2022, the automaker sold a total of 56,140 vehicles. 

Since the incorporation in January last year, LIVAN Automobile is taking the fast track in development. On June 21, 2022, the automaker held an online ceremony to launch the brand "LIVAN", which the company said is the symbol of liberation, vision, pioneering, action and progress.

LIVAN Automobile has rolled out several models enabled by rechargeable and swappable batteries, like the LIVAN 9, and displayed them at such significant motor shows, such as Auto Guangzhou, Chengdu Motor Show, and Auto Chongqing.

The automaker has forged strategic partnerships with Cao Cao Mobility, GCL Energy Technology, and All Happy Families to build an ecosystem for battery swapping business.

On Dec. 17, 2022, LIVAN Automobile put a heavyweight SUV model, the LIVAN 9, onto the market. Coming with four trim levels, the model features a post-subsidy price range of 109,900 yuan-129,900 yuan ($16,230-$19,190). It is equipped with a 52.56kWh-66.57kWh swappable battery pack, which offers a 380km-470km range under the CLTC test cycle. 

LIVAN Automobile is also boosting the implementation of its global strategy, with the X3 PRO and the Maple 60s exported to Azerbaijan and Chile for the period beginning Nov. last year.
