Chinese NEV startup YUDO kicks off presale of Yuntu all-electric SUV
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) startup YUDO announced last Sunday the presale of its all-new full-electric SUV model, dubbed Yuntu (Chinese Pinyin), has already kicked off with a price range of 90,000 yuan-100,000 yuan ($13,450-$14,940).
The new model has been included in a catalogue issued by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology ("MIIT"). It is expected to hit the market in the first quarter of 2023.

The exterior design of the Yuntu is inspired by rabbit, one of the 12 Chinese zodiac signs, reportedly as YUDO's tribute to the upcoming Chinese Year of the Rabbit.
The Yuntu features a sealed-off grille, revealing the vehicle's identity as a pure electric SUV. The charging port is covered by a plate located between the headlights and bearing YUDO's logo. The headlight design is also inspired by the eyes of the rabbit.

As for the side profile, the raised waistline elongates the visual length of the body and also creates an image of constant motion even when still.
Positioned as a small-sized SUV, the Yuntu measures 4,035mm long, 1,736mm wide, and 1,625mm tall, with a wheelbase that spans 2,480mm. It will run on 16-/17-inch aluminum alloy wheels.

The Yuntu SUV is powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor that pumps out 70kW.
