HiPhi’s third model surfaces in MIIT’s patent images
Beijing (Gasgoo)- Human Horizons, the Chinese electric vehicle maker owning the luxury brand HiPhi, recently saw its third production model exposed via a catalogue released by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

Positioned as a mid-size SUV, with a possible name of HiPhi Y, the new model is designed with a subtle design language that is less aggressive and more ordinary than other HiPhi models.
Although, HiPhi’s signature programmable headlights and display are kept in the new model’s design. The hood of the car is decorated with a light strip and sporty air intake. In addition, according to photos released by the MIIT, several cameras around the body and a LiDAR unit on the front windshield are quite distinct.

The new model measures 4,938mm long, 1,958mm wide, and 1,658mm tall, with a 2,950mm wheelbase. It is powered by two permanent magnet synchronous electric motors on the front and rear axles, which churns out a respective maximum power of 124kW and 247kW. Moreover, the electric SUV is mounted with ternary lithium-ion batteries from China’s major battery maker CATL.
Currently, HiPhi has two models on the market, namely the HiPhi X SUV and the HiPhi Z sedan.
