GAC AION boasts three-digit YoY, MoM surge in Feb. 2023 auto sales
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- GAC AION, the new energy vehicle (NEV) subsidiary of GAC Group, announced on Wednesday its monthly sales stood at 30,086 units in Feb. 2023, rocketing 252.87% and 194.79% year on year and month on month, respectively.
For the first two months of this year, GAC AION sold 40,292 vehicles in total, which leapt 64.08% compared to the same span of 2022.
Aside from Feb. 2023, the automaker also saw its monthly sales exceed 30,000 units in three other months of last year, namely, Sept., Oct., and Dec.

Regarding the update of product lineup, the GAC AION S Plus had a new trim, named 70 Lexiang, put onto the market in early Feb. Priced at 149,800 yuan ($21,770), the new version carries a 60/59.4 kWh battery pack that enables a range of 510km, and a 150kW electric motor.
For the year of 2022, GAC AION sold 271,156 vehicles in total with a 126% year-on-year soar. The company has set a conservative sales target of 500,000 units for 2023, but will strive to hit 600,000 units.
