Car and City: Shenzhen registers most ZEEKR 001s, ZEEKR 009s in Feb. 2023

ZEEKR, the premium electric vehicle (EV) brand of Geely Auto Group, saw its monthly registrations reach 5,089 units in the second month of 2023, according to the data compiled by Gasgoo Auto Research Institute ("GARI").

ZEEKR’s monthly registrations in Feb. 2023 soared 88.06% compared to the previous year, while also jumped 29.1% from the previous month.

For the first two months of this year, ZEEKR’s year-to-date auto registrations amounted to 9,031 units, surging 50.04% from a year earlier.

ZEEKR currently has two production models available for delivery. With 4,542 units registered, the ZEEKR 001 accounted for 89.3% of the brand’s total registrations in Feb. 2023, representing a year-on-year spike of 67.8% and a month-on-month growth of 21.1%.

In terms of Feb. registrations of the ZEEKR 001, Shenzhen ranked highest among the cities on the Chinese mainland. It was followed by Hangzhou and Shanghai, which were the other two cities with over 400 ZEEKR 001s registered last month.

As of Feb. 2023, there had been 85,287 ZEEKR 001s registered cumulatively across the world’s largest auto market.

The automaker had 547 ZEEKR 009s registered in Feb., indicating a 187.9% hike month-over-month. Cumulative registrations of the MPV model came in at 737 units.

Shenzhen still outperformed other cities in China with 131 ZEEKR 009s registered last month. Hangzhou was the runner-up.
