Dongfeng Motor introduces Quantum electric architecture

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Dongfeng Motor unveiled its Dongfeng Quantum intelligent electric architecture at the 2023 Dongfeng Motor Brand Spring Launch Event and the 7th Technology Innovation Week, held in Wuhan, Hubei Province on April 10.

The all-digital, highly scalable electromechanical integration architecture covers all areas and boasts four key advantages, namely, safety and reliability, flexible expansion, diverse scenarios, and ultimate experience. It integrates hardware, software, services, and ecosystem layers to provide customers with a diverse and comprehensive travel solution.

The Quantum architecture adopts a building block-like structure, creating various power options such as pure electric, extended range, and plug-in hybrid, as well as different size, style, and driving mode choices that are compatible with sedan, SUV, and MPV models. Dongfeng Quantum offers such features as over 1,200km of range, 90-second battery swapping, 800V super-fast charging, 300km-distance in 5-minute charging, and ultra-low energy consumption of 11kWh per 100km.

Dongfeng Quantum architecture is equipped with the first-ever domestically developed central SOA electronic and electrical architecture, covering the vehicle end, cloud end, and ecosystem end. The architecture achieves software and hardware decoupling and rapid iteration, which can work with clients to build a "developer platform," allowing client to define driving scenarios. The architecture support L3+ autonomous driving technology. 

Currently, Dongfeng Quantum architecture has completed the entire product layout and will help Dongfeng Motor build a matrix of 16 vehicle models, achieving an annual production and sales scale of 1 million units in the future.
