ZEEKR starts delivering ZEEKR 009 ME powered by CATL’s Qilin battery tech

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- ZEEKR, the premium electric vehicle (EV) brand of Geely Auto, announced last Sunday via its WeChat account that it has already started delivering the ZEEKR 009’s ME version, which is the world’s first model with Qilin, the third generation of CATL’s CTP (cell-to-pack) technology, inside.

The ZEEKR 009 ME is equipped with CATL’s Qilin battery that features a capacity of 140kWh. It has a CLTC-rated range of up to 822km.

The Qilin battery is built on CATL's third-generation CTP technology. With a record-breaking volume utilization efficiency of 72% and an energy density of up to 255 Wh/kg, it achieves an outstanding system integration level worldwide, capable of delivering a range of over 1,000 km, according to CATL’s introduction. Moreover, by adopting the trail-blazing large-surface cell cooling technology, Qilin supports a hot start in 5 minutes and fast charging in 10 minutes.

The ZEEKR 009 ME carries a dual-chamber air spring provided by KH Automotive Technologies, the world’s first MPV model to adopt such kind of air suspension.

Hitting the market on Nov. 1, 2022, the ZEEKR 009 MPV comes with two trim levels, the WE and the ME, which are priced at 499,000 yuan and 588,000 yuan, respectively. Delivery of the ZEEKR 009 WE began in mid-Jan. this year.
