NIO to start delivering all-new ES6 on May 25

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- NIO today announced via its WeChat account that it will officially launch the all-new ES6 on May 24 with test drives beginning at the same time. Delivery of the model will kick off only one day after the launch ceremony.

At the Auto Shanghai 2023, the all-new NIO ES6 all-electric SUV made its world’s debut and became open for order. It features NIO’s second-generation design language of "Design for AD", with a variety of ten exterior colors including the unique shades of Galaxy Shadow and Sunlight Gold.

Built on NIO’s NT2.0 platform, the all-new ES6 measures 4,854mm in length, 1,995mm in width, and 1,703mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,915mm. Compared with the first generation, the wheelbase has been increased by 15mm, but the height has been decreased by 55mm.

Like the NIO ET5, the ES6 will adopt a 7.1.4 surround sound system supporting Dolby Atmos with 23 speakers.

The all-new ES6’s interior style remains faithful to that of the existing version. It will be equipped with a 10.2-inch liquid crystal dashboard, a 12.8-inch OLED display at the center console, the zero-gravity seat, etc.

In terms of power, the all-new ES6 uses NIO's self-developed dual-motor four-wheel drive system, and its EDS electric drive system adopts a modular design that highly integrates the electric motors, reducer, and power electronic unit (PEU). The front and rear electric motors have a power output of 150kW and 230kW, respectively, enabling an acceleration time from 0-100km/h of only 4.5 seconds. In addition, the new model would feature Inteligent Comfort Braking System (ISS), Continuous Suspension Damping Control (CDC), and Inteligent Chassis Controller (ICC) in-house developed by the company.
