Geely Auto Group, Longquan city to co-work in NEV-dedicated thermal management industry

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On August 8, Geely Auto Group signed an agreement with the government of Longquan city, a county-level city under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Lishui city, Zhejiang province, to carry out cooperation in new energy automotive thermal management, battery swapping, and automobile technology industry investment projects, according to a post on Lishui government's WeChat account.

The collaboration between Geely Auto Group and Longquan city is strategically tailored towards the new energy automotive thermal management sector. This dynamic partnership will leverage the existing thermal management resources of Longquan and Geely's technological and intelligent manufacturing prowess, collectively propelling the transformation, elevation, and cluster development of Longquan's thermal management industry. Simultaneously, their cooperation in battery swapping projects and fund initiatives is set to further expedite the implementation of China’s "dual carbon" strategy.

As of March this year, the Longquan Economic Development Zone has successfully attracted two projects involving over 100 million yuan of investment each. These projects encompass the domains of new energy vehicle (NEV)-used heat pump silencers and NEV heat pump fluid storage tank casings, alongside the construction of an automotive parts injection molding production line. Furthermore, discussions are underway for five additional projects, further augmenting the growth trajectory of the region.
