Risong Hokuto signs contract to build production lines for GAC AION’s 3rd plant

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Guangzhou Risong Intelligent Technology Holding Co., Ltd. ("Risong Technology") announced on August 28 via its WeChat account that its subsidiary Guangzhou Risong Hokuto Automotive Equipment Co., Ltd. ("Risong Hokuto") has a significant contract worth approximately 150 million yuan with GAC AION, a Chinese leading new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer under GAC Group.

This contract pertains to the establishment of the "intelligent flexible production lines for vehicle body assembly, flooring, side frames, roof covers, and other parts" for GAC AION's ACS project.

Built upon their successful collaboration in providing intelligent flexible production lines for GAC AION's first and second plants, Risong Hokuto once again undertook the construction project of production facilities for GAC AION's third factory. Anticipating the smooth execution of this project, the initiative is expected to substantially bolster Risong Technology's growth within the NEV sector, further enhancing its influence in the market and strategically contributing to the company's high-quality development.

The explosive growth trend in China's NEV industrial chain demands has been a focal point in recent years. Risong Technology has adeptly seized the policy-driven advantages and capacity expansion opportunities within the NEV landscape, and has vigorously expanded into the realm of NEV automation, said the company. Impressively, operations related to the NEV industrial chain now constitute over 50% of the company's overall revenue, catering to a diverse clientele of more than 10 NEV manufacturers. The offerings encompass flexible intelligent welding lines for steel and aluminum vehicle bodies, power battery casing lines, as well as the lines for battery packs and battery pack assemblies.

With the ACS project officially initiated, it is poised to become GAC AION's third plant, with the new facility projected to achieve production readiness by early 2024.

According to publicly available information, Risong Technology a Chinese high-tech enterprise engaged with R&D, design, manufacturing, application and sales of robot, industrial software, and intelligent manufacturing.
