Great Wall Motor’s ORA Good Cat BEV hits Brazilian market

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Recently, Great Wall Motor officially put the ORA Good Cat (known as ORA 03 in Brazil) onto the Brazilian electric vehicle market, the Chinese automaker said via its WeChat account.

As its first battery electric vehicle (BEV) model launched into Brazil, the ORA Good Cat comes with a base "Skin" version with a range of 310 kilometers (WLTP standard) and a more personalized "GT" version with an extended range of 400 kilometers (WLTP standard), priced at 150,000 Brazilian Reais (approximately 22,500 yuan) and 184,000 Brazilian Reais (approximately 276,000 yuan), respectively.

Notably, the ORA Good Cat also introduced a limited-edition model, the "Skin Copacabana," inspired by Brazil's iconic Copacabana Beach. The car's blue and white exterior color scheme beautifully mirrors the azure sea and sky of Copacabana Beach. According to the company, all 200 units of this limited edition were sold out on the very day of its launch.

Considering the aesthetic preferences of Brazilian consumers, the ORA Good Cat is offered in popular colors such as white, red, gray, and blue. The base version is aptly named "Skin," aligning with the idea that customers can choose the vehicle's "skin" according to their individual tastes. GWM also plans to introduce more personalized "skins" in the future to cater to users' diverse preferences.

In term of safety consideration, the ORA Good Cat achieved the highest five-star rating in the rigorous European E-NCAP crash tests. It is equipped with seven safety airbags, multiple radars, and cameras. Additionally, the vehicle features L2+ level intelligent driving assistance technology, further enhancing its safety and technological attributes. The ORA Good Cat comes equipped with an automatic emergency braking (AEB) system capable of recognizing pedestrians, cars, motorcycles, and more.

Innovating in the realm of retail channels, customers can now place orders for the ORA Good Cat around the clock through the flagship store on Brazil's largest e-commerce platform, Mercado Livre. GWM has also organized convenient experiences such as doorstep test drives and deliveries. It is expected that the first batch of customers will receive their ORA Good Cats by the end of this year.
