Presale of Wuling Xingguang sedan kicks off at Auto Guangzhou 2023

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Today, at the Auto Guangzhou 2023, SAIC-GM-Wuling announced the official start of pre-sales for its first super A-segment sedan under the Wuling brand, the Wuling Xingguang. Boasting an impressive combined range exceeding 1,100km, the model offers two variants: the 70 Standard Edition and the 150 Advanced Edition, priced at 93,800 yuan and 109,800 yuan, respectively.

As Wuling brand's inaugural super A-segment sedan, the Wuling Xingguang achieves exceptional energy efficiency, with a power consumption of 3.98L/100km (WLTC) and a remarkably low cost of 33.5 yuan per 100 kilometers. It features the "Wuling Lingxi Hybrid System," which attains a high thermal efficiency of 43.2% for the engine and an impressive 96.8% for the electric motor.

Built on an entirely new native energy architecture, the Wuling Xingguang's chassis combines a MacPherson independent front suspension with an E-type multi-link independent rear suspension. It introduces its second-generation electromagnetic hybrid-specific gearbox, delivering seamless and responsive performance throughout the speed range, with a rapid 0.1s response time for immediate power delivery.

In terms of battery safety, the Wuling Xingguang incorporates the pioneering "Wending Technology" in the Shenlian battery, ensuring leak-proof, fire-proof, and explosion-proof characteristics. Utilizing the MUST structure for high integration, strength, and multifunctionality, coupled with dual BMS intelligent coordination from both the vehicle and the cloud, the system undergoes continuous safety inspections.

With a body 76.4% made of high-strength steel and reinforced with aluminum alloy crash beams at the front, the Wuling Xingguang provides comprehensive protection. Its advanced three-horizontal-three-vertical hot-formed ultra-high-strength steel chassis structure, combined with energy-absorbing zones designed for side impact on the battery, undergoes rigorous high-standard electrical safety collision testing.

In terms of driving functions, the Wuling Xingguang is equipped with ESC (electronic body stability) system, AUTO HOLD, electronic handbrake, 360° high-definition panoramic imaging, adaptive cruise control, and other active safety assistance configurations.

Leveraging a 2,800mm extended wheelbase, the new model maximizes spacious driving and storage areas. The unique "reclining chair design" allows the front seats to lie flat with the rear seats, creating a reclining chair. With a rear aisle width of 390mm and a maximum legroom of 1 meter, the car offers flexible resting spaces. The dual-layer multifunctional auxiliary dashboard, combined with a 540L storage capacity in the trunk, caters to diverse loading needs.

Furthermore, the Wuling Xingguang supports both fast charging and AC charging modes. Under normal conditions, fast charging from 30% to 80% takes only 30 minutes. With a range of practical features such as one-touch window up-and-down, heated and electrically folding rearview mirrors, remote car control, keyless entry and start, automatic LED headlights, and a built-in 15.6-inch intelligent screen with the Ling OS, the Wuling Xingguang provides a sophisticated driving experience.

The new model caters to a variety of needs with 14 storage spaces throughout the car, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, rear air vents, ISOFIX child safety seat interfaces, and other considerate configurations.
