Leapmotor boasts over 29% YoY surge in 2023 annual deliveries

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese new energy vehicle manufacturer Leapmotor achieved a historic high delivery record in December 2023, with a remarkable 18,618 vehicles delivered, marking a 119% year-on-year soar.

This achievement capped a successful year for Leapmotor, which delivered a cumulative 144,155 vehicles in 2023, boasting an over 29% surge compared to the previous year. The company’s cumulative vehicle delivery volume surpassed 300,000 units since its establishment.

Amidst celebrating its eighth year in business, Leapmotor remained committed to its comprehensive self-research strategy, focusing on product innovation, technological advancements, and brand development.

In March 2023, the company introduced the extended-range versions of its C11 and C01 models, which contributed significantly to Leapmotor’s stable market growth. From May onwards, Leapmotor consistently saw monthly deliveries exceed ten thousand units.

Expanding beyond the Chinese market, Leapmotor embarked on a global journey starting at the IAA Mobility 2023. Leveraging its comprehensive self-research capabilities, Leapmotor collaborated with Stellantis, becoming the first Chinese new energy vehicle company to partner with a multinational giant, pioneering a new global development model of light asset outbound.

Leapmotor’s co-president Wu Qiang revealed plans to initiate sales in the European market in the third quarter of 2024, aiming to truly export Leapmotor's vehicles.

With increasing sales, a shift in primary models to the higher-priced C11 and C01, and continued cost reduction efforts, Leapmotor achieved positive gross margins ahead of schedule in the third quarter of 2023.
