JAC Group allies with CATL to promote new energy vehicle technology advancement

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On January 6, Chinese automaker JAC Group and power battery giant CATL inked a pivotal strategic cooperation agreement in Ningde, Fujian Province. The agreement encompasses such fields as power battery and green energy technologies.

Specifically, this agreement comprises a broad spectrum of initiatives, including joint efforts in power battery supply, adoption of battery-swap technology, collaborative development and application of new technologies and products, domestic and international market expansion, and carbon reduction across the industrial chain. The primary aim is to co-craft action plans and establish a strategic alliance.

In the realm of power batteries, CATL pledges to prioritize providing JAC Group with new power battery products, cutting-edge technology, comprehensive production and research collaborative services, and deeply integrated technologies merging vehicle platforms with batteries. This concerted effort aims to jointly engineer competitive new energy vehicle models.

In the technical collaboration aspect, the duo will establish a joint R&D team, focusing on the development and application of new technologies and products. They will collectively propel the introduction of CIIC skateboard chassis technology, specify applicable vehicle models for CIIC skateboard chassis, and devise cooperative schemes and development plans as necessary.

Furthermore, the partnership extends to brand promotion, product marketing, quality enhancement, customer service, and talent cultivation, with the shared goal of creating superior, competitively priced products. 

This collaboration aligns with JAC Group's strategic focus on developing intelligent vehicles and new energy vehicles, channeling increased R&D investment in the power battery, electric drive system, and electronic control fields.
