CATL, CMA CGM to co-develop solutions for greenhouse gas emission reduction

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On May 7, local time of Paris, Chinese power battery giant CATL signed a cooperation agreement with French shipping giant CMA CGM. The partnership is poised to harness the strengths of both companies, focusing on the creation of comprehensive solutions for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Under the agreement, the duo will co-explore potential collaborative opportunities in research and development, and plan to establish a joint venture aimed at meeting the growing demands of environmental protection, facilitating energy transitions, and industrial upgrading.

Additionally, both parties will collaborate closely in several areas, including electric shipping, commercial vehicles, warehousing and logistics, and renewable energy. Their joint efforts will be guided by a roadmap towards carbon neutrality, promoting both digital and green low-carbon transitions.
