NIO’s 50th battery swap station in Europe comes online
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On July 16, NIO celebrated the launch of its 50th battery swap station in Europe, marking a significant milestone in the company's expansion within the continent. This new facility is located in Oslo, Norway.

Back on September 16, 2022, NIO's first battery swap station in Europe, produced by the NIO Power Europe Plant in Hungary, was shipped to Germany. Beginning operation of the NIO Power Europe Plant is a landmark achievement, signifying NIO's strengthened presence in the European market. The plant promises enhanced efficiency and a comprehensive service system for smart electric vehicle users across Europe, offering an improved charging experience.
As of July 16 this year, NIO has established 50 battery swap stations and 19 electric vehicle charging stations across five European countries: Norway, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, and the Netherlands. Additionally, NIO has had access to over 600,000 third-party charging piles. The company is committed to further expanding its charging and battery swapping infrastructure to provide a more convenient charging experience for its European customers.
Meanwhile, NIO has set up a total of 2,443 battery swap stations across China, 809 of which are built along expressways. The company has also operated 3,904 electric vehicle charging stations and 22,822 charging piles in the country. This extensive network positions NIO as the largest battery swap network operator globally and the leading automotive brand in China in terms of charging pile deployment.
