New Audi Q7, Q8, SQ7 go on sale in Chinese market
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On July 22, Audi put new versions of its flagship SUV models, the Q7, SQ7, and Q8, onto the Chinese market, expanding its luxury offerings. The updated Audi Q7 is available in four variants, priced between 609,800 yuan and 804,800 yuan. The new Audi SQ7 comes in a single variant priced at 1,098,800 yuan, while the new Audi Q8 offers four variants, priced between 786,800 yuan and 1,084,800 yuan.

The new Audi Q7, SQ7, and Q8 share several design updates, notably the redesigned front grille and headlamp interiors. The new Q7 now features a single-frame grille with chrome honeycomb decorations, giving it a more stylish appearance. The Black Warrior Edition has been fully blacked out, including a high-gloss black front grille and a redesigned front bumper, enhancing its sporty appeal. The new Q7 comes in three new colors.
Audi, renowned for its lighting technology, has upgraded the top-spec Q series SUVs with high-definition matrix LED low-beam and laser high-beam headlights, doubling the maximum illumination distance to 600 meters. The taillights use OLED technology, offering four personalized lighting signatures and activating when vehicles approach within two meters, reducing the risk of low-speed rear-end collisions.

Audi has introduced a new CI logo, adopting a two-dimensional design for the front and rear brand logos and removing the quattro badge. The S and S line models feature a red diamond logo and product name on the left rear tailgate, with detailed model information laser-etched on the B-pillar door. This change provides a more understated look compared to the previous chrome badges.

The interior of the new Q7 emphasizes luxurious soft-touch materials, combining genuine and synthetic leather with various color options and increased soft-touch areas. Standard features include Lava Brown eucalyptus wood trim, with optional grey-brown wood, natural silver ash, and high-gloss grey oak trims. The top-tier versions offer natural amber eucalyptus wood trim, enhancing the interior's refined feel.
The new Q7 also introduces the 45 TFSI Black Warrior Edition with a five-seat configuration, offering a luggage capacity of 867 liters, expandable to 1,993 liters with the rear seats folded down.
Powering the new Q7 are the fourth-generation EA888 2.0T engine and the EA839 3.0T V6 engine with a 48V mild hybrid system, delivering 265 and 340 horsepower, respectively, with peak torque of 370 and 500 Nm. The 8-speed Tiptronic automatic manual transmission is standard, as is the quattro all-wheel drive system with a mechanical torque-sensing differential and adaptive air suspension. The vehicle also offers seven driving modes, with rear-wheel steering available as an option.

The new Audi Q8 shares exterior updates with the new Q7, including a new grille and headlamp designs. Apart from the 45 TFSI variant, all trim levels feature OLED taillights with four personalized signatures and proximity sensing. The new Q8 is available in three exterior colors and offers three 21-inch and two 22-inch wheel options.

The new Q8's interior comes standard with an extended leather package. The top-spec premium dynamic model includes an advanced extended leather package with Nappa leather on the door armrests and center console. Standard wood trim options include grey-brown wood, with high-gloss grey oak, matte brushed aluminum, and black fabric headliners offered as options.

The new Audi SQ7's exterior changes mirror those of the new Q7, including larger air intakes on the front bumper and a new octagonal grille design, enhancing its sporty look.

Inside, the new SQ7 features an advanced extended leather package with increased soft-touch materials. As a performance-oriented SUV, it uses carbon fiber trim, perforated leather steering wheel, stainless steel pedals, red rings, and perforated leather gear lever, creating a sportier interior atmosphere. The seats are RS-style sport seats with Valcona leather, diamond-shaped stitching, and exclusive S embossing, providing excellent support and a sense of identity.

The new SQ7 comes standard with a 730-watt Bang & Olufsen sound system, with an optional 23-speaker Bang & Olufsen luxury sound system available. The interior also features a 30*30 color ambient lighting package with reflective LED strips, offering a theater-like audio-visual experience.
The new SQ7 is powered by the same 4.0T V8 twin-turbo engine as the RS model, delivering 507 horsepower and 770 N·m of peak torque, paired with an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic manual transmission. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. The engine features intelligent cylinder deactivation technology, allowing it to run on four cylinders for improved fuel efficiency at high speeds or low loads. The new SQ7 includes quattro all-wheel drive, with optional large carbon-ceramic brakes and Audi RS Q8's rear axle sport differential.
