Great Wall Motor posts 7.75% MoM increase in Oct. 2024 vehicle sales
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- In the tenth month of 2024, Great Wall Motor ("GWM") recorded a sales volume of 116,799 new vehicles, which dropped 11.05% over the previous year, but rose 7.75% over the previous month.

For the first ten months of this year, GWM's new vehicle sales amounted to 970,612 units, edging down 2.49% from a year earlier.
Among the vehicles sold last month, 32,039 units were contributed by the new energy vehicle (NEV) sector, indicating a 6.34% month-on-month increase. The company's year-to-date NEV sales reached 243,531 units.
In addition, GWM also reported a sales volume of 44,418 vehicles for its overseas markets business, showing a jump of 25.65% compared to the year-ago period. For the Jan.-Oct. period, the company's overseas market sales stood at 368,662 units.
GWM announced that the sales of vehicles priced over 200,000 yuan amounted to 30,342 units last month, displaying a 12.69% growth from a year ago.
Breaking down the sales performance by specific brands, only WEY achieved a year-on-year growth in both October and year-to-date sales. TANK saw its October sales decline 13.47% over a year earlier to 19,127 units, but its Jan.-Oct. sales slumped 49.18% year over year to 188,933 units. Moreover, HAVAL's October sales slid 7.65% from a year ago to 72,675 vehicles, resulting in a year-to-date volume of 544,423 units, which shrank 5.25% year over year. Great Wall Pick-up and ORA logged year-on-year declines in both October and year-to-date sales.
