Tesla to deploy V4 Superchargers on Chinese Mainland in 2025
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Tesla recently revealed the plan to begin deploying its latest V4 Superchargers on the Chinese Mainland in 2025. This follows deployments in North America, Asia-Pacific, and Europe, where the V4 technology has already been introduced.
The V4 Supercharger features Tesla's most advanced charging technology to date, promising a significantly improved experience for Tesla owners. Moreover, the charger is highly compatible, supporting a wide range of non-Tesla-branded electric vehicles, including models currently on the market and future releases.
Accompanying the V4 Supercharger is the V4 Supercharger cabinet, which has been officially unveiled. It offers a maximum charging power of 500 kW for passenger vehicles and an impressive 1.2 MW (1,200 kW) to support Tesla's Semi electric heavy-duty truck. Compared to the V3 cabinet, the V4 cabinet delivers a marked increase in top power output, enabling higher charging power for each vehicle even during simultaneous charging sessions.

Currently, Tesla operates over 2,000 Supercharger stations equipped with more than 11,500 Superchargers across the Chinese Mainland, providing extensive and convenient charging services to Tesla owners. The gradual rollout of V4 Superchargers will further enhance Tesla's charging network in the country, solidifying its commitment to electric vehicle infrastructure expansion in the market.
