Shanghai (Gasgoo)- United Automotive Electronic Systems Co., Ltd. ("UAES"), a joint venture between Bosch and SAIC Motor-backed Zhong-Lian Automotive Electronics Co., Ltd., recently began scale delivery of its next-generation in-vehicle charging and power distribution unit, the CharCON5U, according to a press release the company issued on Feb. 18 via its WeChat account.

The key highlight of this product is the seamless integration of the on-board charger (OBC) and high-voltage DC-DC converter into a single unit. As a highly integrated product, it uses a topological integration design to achieve cost control, perfectly aligning with the Chinese market's demand for high-performance and cost-effective in-vehicle charging solutions.

On November 11, 2024, UAES held a ceremony at its Shanghai headquarters to unveil the "UAES Integrated Vehicle-Cloud Ecosystem Innovation Center". Leveraging the company's technological and market advantages, the center plans to collaborate with hardware and software companies, universities, and developers to create an integrated ecosystem for vehicle-cloud technologies, covering hardware, software, and customer experience.

On the same day, UAES signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Kernelsoft to collaborate on in-vehicle communication middleware and testing. This partnership will focus on DDS middleware, computing power sharing, testing calibration, and toolchain development.

UAES also signed a strategic agreement with GOODiX to jointly develop core capabilities in advanced technologies, including establishing a stable Bluetooth digital key system and advancing Bluetooth positioning technologies.

Additionally, UAES and Zunzi Technology ("Zunzi" is in Chinese pinyin) signed a strategic cooperation agreement to build an automated testing platform for automotive electronics based on large model systems. This collaboration would encompass large model management platforms, automation testing, and advanced verification.

The aforesaid partnerships aim to establish localized smart connected vehicle solutions in the automotive sector.
