Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On February 22, IM Motors, the premium electric vehicle brand backed by SAIC Motor, Alibaba Group, and Zhangjiang High-Tech, officially shipped the overseas version of its IM LS6 model—the IM6—from Shanghai Port to Thailand, according to a post on the automaker's WeChat account.

As the company's first stop in its 2025 global expansion, Thailand will serve as the starting point for its international strategy. The IM6 is set to hit the Thai market in March, with sales beginning at the Bangkok International Motor Show on March 24.

The existing IM LS6 (called all-new IM LS6) hit the Chinese market in late September 2024, offering five trim levels with an initial launch price ranging from 216,900 yuan to 279,900 yuan.

The model features several exterior refinements over its inaugural generation, including a redesigned front bumper for a more striking appearance. The fog lights on both sides of the front end have been reshaped from elongated strips to circular designs for better visibility, while the lower air intake has been reduced in size, lowering the car's visual center of gravity.

Inside, the all-new IM LS6 retains its signature 26.3-inch ultra-wide display paired with a 10.5-inch touchscreen, along with a futuristic half-spoke steering wheel. The vehicle is equipped with multiple cutting-edge technologies anda facilities, including a high-precision long-range LiDAR, an NVIDIA Orin X chip, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, and IM Motors' advanced "Future Smart Cabin." It also runs on a quasi-900V platform (with a 400V system for the base model) and features the company's high-performance "Hurricane Motor" powertrain.

In terms of power performance, the all-new LS6 offers multiple rear-wheel-drive options with power outputs of 216kW, 248kW, 250kW, and 300kW, as well as a 579kW all-wheel-drive version. CLTC-rated range varies from 605km to 760km, depending on the configuration.
