Grant Morrison, Global Head of Asset Procurement at APM Terminals, remarked, "APM Terminals is firmly committed to our decarbonization roadmap, and today's partnership marks a key milestone in accelerating our transformation. It not only deepens our collaboration with CATL but also represents a significant step forward in electrifying container handling equipment to realize our terminal decarbonization strategy."

Li Xiaoning, Executive President of Overseas Business at CATL, added, "We've already worked alongside APM Terminals through the Zero Emission Port Alliance (ZEPA) to promote electric container handling equipment. This strategic collaboration will further accelerate the development of industry-leading solutions and reduce greenhouse gas emissions at terminals."

Looking ahead, the partnership will also extend to full battery lifecycle management—including the development of advanced battery products, after-sales support, and battery recycling—to better support APM Terminals' decarbonization goals across its value chain and help ports worldwide transition to low-carbon operations.
