XPENG expands charging access across Southeast Asia through partnership with Charge Plus

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On September 23, XPENG announced that its charging brand, XPENG Charging, will be fully integrated into the network operated by Charge Plus, Singapore's largest charging service provider. The partnership gives XPENG drivers access to more than 3,800 charging points across Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

The network includes Singapore's largest public charging system, which accounts for over 30% market share, along with highway charging stations spanning more than 5,000 kilometers across the region.

By tapping into this infrastructure, XPENG will strengthen its global charging ecosystem and offer localized support for its flagship models—such as the G6, G9, and X9—all of which are equipped with 800V ultra-fast charging technology.

The move also makes XPENG the first Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) startup to simultaneously integrate charging access across Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand, covering the north-south highway corridors in all three markets.

XPENG-branded stations in the three countries have already begun operating, some fitted with ultra-fast chargers delivering up to 350 kW. By the end of this year, XPENG owners will be able to access exclusive charging discounts, check real-time station availability directly from their in-car displays, and navigate to charging sites with a single click.

Looking ahead, XPENG said it expects to roll out seamless app-based payments across the three countries by the end of 2025, enabling a "plug-and-charge" experience where drivers can start and complete charging without manual transactions.

Even as it accelerates its overseas push, XPENG continues to expand at home. As of September 23, the company had built around 2,600 self-operated charging stations in China, more than 80% of them ultra-fast, with a goal of exceeding 3,000 by the end of 2025.
