Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Sales of VW amounted to 172,630 units, down 14.84% year on year, the first on May, 2022 auto sales ranking by all brands, according to the May sales data of the China Passenger Car Association. Sales of Toyota amounted to 141,688 units, up 3.76% year on year, ranking second on the list while its YTD sales totaled 685,309 units. May sales of BYD reached 114,183 units, increasing 152.75% year on year and ranking third on the list while its YTD sales were 509,444 units. (Note: Data here refers to sales of cars, SUVs and MPVs made and sold in China.)
