Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Sales of BYD amounted to 143,725 units, up 51.00% year on year, the first on January, 2023 auto sales ranking by all brands, according to the January sales data of the China Passenger Car Association. Sales of VW amounted to 140,537 units, down 38.40% year on year, ranking second on the list while its YTD sales totaled 140,537 units. January sales of Toyota reached 110,208 units, decreasing 27.09% year on year and ranking third on the list while its YTD sales were 110,208 units. (Note: Data here refers to sales of cars, SUVs and MPVs made and sold in China.)
