Chery Auto aims for 800,000 sales in 2011

Shanghai January 14 (Gasgoo.com) Chery Auto said on Friday it aims to sell 800,000 vehicles this year, up 17.3% from 2010, when 682,000 vehicles were sold. Chery will launch five new models, as well as several self-developed electric vehicles, including EVs based on reinforced starters and/or powered by its own batteries.

BMW Brilliance's Senior Vice President is optimistic about Chinese luxury car market

Shanghai January 13 (Gasgoo.com) BMW Brilliance Automotive Ltd. will continue to maintain a positive attitude towards the Chinese automobile market in the upcoming year, Senior Vice President Dr. Daniel Kirchert said in an interview with www.jinghua.cn on Tuesday. Dr. Kirchert continued to say that because luxury automobiles were relatively unaffected by purchase restriction laws, he expects growth rates to continue at 20%-30%.
