SAIC aims to take 20% of China's new energy vehicle market by 2015

Shanghai October 25 (Gasgoo.com) China's largest auto maker Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC) has in recent years created a comprehensive layout of the new energy automotive industry chain, and is planning to increase its market share in the segment to 20% by 2015, its Chairman Hu Maoyuan said at the "Drive to 2030": World Expo and Sustainable Automotive Industry Development forum, co-hosted with General Motors on October 15, the Beijing News reported Monday.

Total automobiles sales in 2011 are predicted to drop 10%

Shanghai January 12 (Gasgoo.com) Research on the 2011 automobile market has shown some pessimistic results. During yesterday's "December 2010 automobile market information research forum," research institute China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) said that this year's domestic automobile sales may show negative growth of over 10%.

Geely aims for 18% growth in sales this year

Shanghai January 10 (Gasgoo.com) In early 2010, Geely set its sales goal at 22%, a figure which is relatively conservative when compared with fellow automakers Chery and BYD. Geely still aims to play a fairly conservative role in 2011, having announced its sales target as 18%, equivalent to 490,000 vehicles (compared to Chery's goal of 900,000 vehicles.)
