China's passenger vehicle (referring to the cars, SUVs, and MPVs locally made on the Chinese Mainland) retail sales is likely to be 1.73 million units in July, a decrease of around 2% both year-on-year and month-on-month.

In April, China's domestic passenger vehicle (PV) market retailed 1.532 million units, marking a year-over-year decrease of 5.7% and a month-over-month decrease of 9.4%, according to data from the China Passenger Car Association ("CPCA").

In the third month of 2024, China's domestic passenger vehicle (PV) retail sales reached 1.687 million units, marking a year-on-year (YoY) increase of 6% and a month-on-month (MoM) surge of 52.8%.
