HUAWEI's partner SERES launches premium EV brand
Chongqing (Gasgoo)- Today, HUAWEI’s automaking partner, SERES, launched its new premium intelligent vehicle brand, AITO, along with its range extension platform, the DE-i.

The company explained that the name AITO stands for “Adding Intelligence to Auto”, signifying the brand’s intention of building intelligent experience for users.

After five years of exploration in the extended range technologies field, SERES said the company has accumulated over 1,000 relating patents. Moreover, the company owns an Industry 4.0 smart factory and ample resources in the global supply chain.

Notably, the AITO brand will inherit SERES’s collaboration with HUAWEI for its advanced ICT and automotive intelligence technologies.

AITO’s vehicles will be powered by HUAWEI’s HarmonyOS smart cockpit, providing an all-scenario intelligent mobile space. HUAWEI’s involvement with the brand will cover everything from R&D to the sales network.
The first HarmonyOS powered AITO model will debut on December 23rd.

In addition, according to the company, SERES’s newly introduced DE-i platform allows at least 1,000 km of range, with an intelligent extended-range control system, OTA function, and a cloud-based big data network. The platform can identify over 860 scenarios automatically.
SERES added, the company aim to be in the top three list of new energy auto brands across the world in five years.
